INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indianapolis Colts have re-signed middle linebacker Gary Brackett, the leader of their defense.
A starter for the last five seasons, Brackett became an unrestricted free agent on Friday. But he quickly rejoined the Colts, for whom he has had more than 100 tackles in each of those five years.
The defensive team captain, Brackett was an undrafted rookie out of Rutgers who signed with the Colts in 2003. He has 674 career tackles, 11 interceptions, five forced fumbles and three recovered fumbles.
