Columbia (WACH) - The South Carolina women's basketball team won their second straight SEC game Thursday night, beating Kentucky 79-71at the Colonial Life Arena.
Five players scored in double figures for the Gamecocks. Freshman center Kelsey Bone led the attack with 23 points and 9 rebounds. The Gamecocks (9-7, 2-2, SEC) won the war in the paint, scoring 52 of their 79 points in the paint and out-rebounding the Wildcats (13-3, 1-2 SEC) in the win.
The Gamecocks continue their homestand Sunday, January 17 with a 3 pm game against Auburn.
