HOUSTON (AP) — Houston cornerback Jacques Reeves will miss Sunday's game against Oakland after breaking his right pinky finger during warmups for practice.
Coach Gary Kubiak said Reeves broke the finger Wednesday when he was hit with a ball. He said it was a compound fracture, meaning the bone broke through the skin.
Reeves was released from the hospital Thursday after having surgery to repair the finger.
This is the second broken bone this season for Reeves, who was a starter last year but broke his leg early in camp and hasn't played this season.
He expects to return next week.
