TOKYO (AP) —Japan's home friendly against Togo in October has been switched to another venue because of a bad pitch.
The match was originally scheduled for the Kyushu Oil Dome in Oita, southern Japan, but problems with the playing surface forced the Oct. 14 game to be switched to Miyagi Stadium in Sendai, the Japan Football Association announced Monday.
Japan, which has qualified for next year's World Cup in South Africa, faces Scotland in Yokohama on Oct. 10 in the opening match of the three-team Kirin Cup tournament.
