Everton offers contract to American striker Arnoux, SOC

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Everton has offered a one-year contract to 21-year-old American striker Cody Arnoux.

Arnoux has hit 13 goals in 16 games for the Carolina Dynamo in the USL Premier Development League — the fourth tier of United States' football — and has played for the under-18 national team side as well as Wake Forest University.

If he completes the transfer, Arnoux will play with Everton's reserves this season before being considered for Premier League action with the first team.
