DENVER (AP) — Nuggets forward Carmelo Anthony had his right ankle taped at halftime of last night's game against the Lakers and also received fluids to help him deal with a stomach virus.

Denver's star was struggling in Game 4 of the Western Conference finals. He missed his first 10 shots and had only one field goal and seven points midway through the third quarter.

Early in the second quarter, while jostling with Kobe Bryant, Anthony tweaked the ankle and limped to the bench.

He came back in the game seconds later but was running cautiously for the rest of the first half.

Anthony finished with 15 hard-earned points on 3-of-16 shooting.
