RALEIGH, N.C. (WACH)- Thomas Brittle's grand slam in the second inning gave Clemson its second straight win 7-4 against eighth-ranked N.C. State to take the series over the Wolfpack. The Tigers improve to 9-4 overall, 2-0 in the ACC.

The Wolfpack wasted no time jumping on Clemson early in the first with a run, but the Tigers answered with five of their own in the second and didn't look back.  Steven Duggar reached on an error at first, followed by a Garrett Boulware walk.  Jon McGibbon then delivered an RBI single to right that scored Duggar to tie the score at 1-1.  Tyler Krieger drew a walk and Brittle unloaded on a pitch deep to right to give the Tigers a four run lead.

Clemson pitching was solid all afternoon, with Kyle Schnell (1-0) recording his first win as a Tiger pitching 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.

Game three of the series is set for Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
