Shaw to start against Missouri

Connor Shaw will start Saturday against Missouri.

COLUMBIA (WACH)- Steve Spurrier naming Connor Shaw the starting quarterback for the Missouri game during his press conference on Tuesday afternoon.  The head ball coach wasting no time in announcing the decision.

"Connor was throwing the ball around very well last night, so he'll start," Spurrier said.

Shaw re-injured his right shoulder in the second quarter during the UAB game, and was replaced by Dylan Thompson.  Shaw was 8-of-14 passing for 107 yards and a touchdown in the first half before leaving the game.

The Gamecocks and Tigers will meet for just the third time, and the first as SEC East opponents.  CBS will broadcast the game on Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 3:30 P.M.
