RICHLAND COUNTY (WACH) - Deputies say a man and woman were found dead outside of a home near Blythewood Friday morning.

Deputy Curtis Wilson said about 9 a.m. Friday, deputies received a shots fired call to a home on Coralbean Way in Northeast Richland County near Blythewood. Wilson says the incident appears to be a murder-suicide involving a husband and wife who were recently separated.

According to Wilson, the 44-year-old woman had recently moved into the home and the 50-year-old man did not live there. Two teens also lived with the woman, but were not home at the time of the shooting.

Neighbors were shocked when they heard about the shooting.

Charlotte Lee who lives down the street said, "It's a peaceful neighborhood, the most activity I see is kids getting off the school bus and riding their bikes."

Authorities say the man was wearing military clothing. It has not yet been determined if the man or woman were actually in the military.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate.
