Sumter Police have arrested a 22-year-old Sumter man in connection to a shooting that took place Wednesday afternoon.

SUMTER, SC (WACH) -- Sumter Police have arrested a 22-year-old Sumter man in connection to a shooting that took place Wednesday afternoon.
Timothy Wilson was arrested and charged with attempted murder after being accused of shooting 22-year-old Quinton Roach at a home along the 100 block of Carolina Avenue.
Authorities say Wilson and Roach have been at odds with each other for quite some time because of a female acquaintance.
Investigators say when Roach and the woman stopped by a mutual friend’s home on Carolina Avenue, Wilson was also there.
That’s when investigaotrs say Wilson pulled out a gun and started shooting at Roach who was sitting inside a car in front of the house.
Authorities say Roach was grazed in the head by a bullet that went through his scalp.
He was taken by his girlfriend to Tuomey Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
Wilson also faces charges for possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a stolen pistol. He is currently being held at the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
