Clemson defeats Wright State; improves to 3-1

Clemson, SC (WACH)--The Clemson Tigers improved to 3-1 on the young season with a 5-3 win over Wright State at Doug Kingsmore Stadium Saturday.

Steve Wilkerson led Clemson by going 2-for-4 with a solo homerun and two RBIs.

Daniel Gossett (1-0) got the win. The Tigers pitcher threw 5 innings; giving up one run on six hits, two walks and six strikeouts. Matt Campbell retired the last batter of the game to earn his second save on the year.

Clemson and Wright State will play the second game of the doubleheader Saturday.
