COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) - The South Carolina football team's preparation for another landmark season is set to open in less than two weeks.

Spring practice is slated to open Tuesday, March 5 and wraps up with the annual Garnet & Black spring game.

The Garnet & Black game is scheduled for Saturday, April 13 at 1pm at Williams-Brice Stadium. Admission is free. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3, and will also be shown on ESPNU on tape delay.

All 15 of the spring practice sessions will be open to the public unless determined otherwise. Most of the workouts will take place at the Bluff Road practice fields. Saturday scrimmages will take place at Williams-Brice Stadium at 10 am.

Autographs will not be allowed at practice sessions.

The annual Pro Timing Day is set for Wednesday, March 27, beginning at 10 a.m. The skills conducted on the Williams-Brice Stadium field will be open to the public.

The Gamecocks have posted back-to-back 11-win seasons and top-10 finishes for the first time in school history. The Gamecocks finished the 2012 season ranked eighth in the Associated Press poll and seventh in the USA Today/Coaches poll, both program bests.

The team is projected to start the 2013 season as a top-10 team in the polls
