TUSCALOOSA, AL (WACH) - The South Carolina women's basketball team picked up its twentieth win of the season with a 65-53 victory at Alabama on Thursday.

Three players combined for 43 points in the road win for the No. 15 Gamecocks. Ashley Bruner and Aleighsa Welch each posted a double-double, and Elem Ibiam chipped in 12 points and five rebounds as South Carolina out-rebounded Alabama 53-24.

The Gamecocks improved to 20-3 overall and 8-2 in SEC play. The team has won eight of its last nine games, including a win over then No. 5 Kentucky during that span.

South Carolina is back in action this weekend in a critical SEC matchup when the team hosts No. 14 Texas A&M. It is the first meeting between the two teams.

Tip-time is set for 3:30pm at Colonial Life Arena.
