COLUMBIA (WACH) - A strong line of storms passed through the Midlands.

A line of severe storms moved across the Midlands in advance of a cold front, producing heavy rain and damaging winds.

Strong winds knocked down trees and power lines in some spots producing spotty power outages.

The Midlands were under a tornado watch for most of the evening. However, no tornado warnings were issued.

Temperatures will start to cool off as a cold front passes overnight. Look for temperatures in the mid-40s Thursday with clearing conditions.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for our area until 6 a.m. Thursday.
