SUPPLY, N.C. (AP) -- A Myrtle Beach woman has been arrested after North Carolina deputies say she led them on a high-speed chase and said she'd stop in exchange for cash.

Brunswick County deputies say they began driving after 37-year-old Jeniffer Herring after she refused to pull over at a traffic stop just before 11:30 p.m. Monday.

Herring called 911 during the chase and said there was no emergency but that she'd pull over in exchange for $300,000.

Deputies chased Herring until she hit a dead end and stopped in a driveway. Authorities say she hit speeds of 70 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Herring faces charges including driving while impaired. It wasn't known if she had an attorney, and deputies said she already had another pending DWI case in Brunswick County.
