Clemson's Brewer receives ACC honors

CLEMSON (WACH)- Clemson defensive back Xavier Brewer was named ACC Defensive Back of the Week on Monday for his performance against South Carolina Saturday. Brewer had the best game of his career against the Tigers in-state rival.

The redshirt senior from Jacksonville, Florida finished with a career-high 12 tackles, including nine solo tackles. He also recorded an interception and a sack becoming the first Clemson player to record an interception and a sack in a game since 2009.

The Tigers finish the regular season with a 10-2 overall record and 7-1 in the ACC. Clemson now awaits to hear where it will play in their bowl game.
