North Greenville tops Newberry, 27-17

TIGERVILLE, SC - The Newberry Wolves rolled up 428 yards of offense but had a hard time converting those into points, falling to North Greenville 27-17 Saturday night.

Newberry falls to 4-2 overall on the season entering next weekend's Homecoming game against Wingate at 4 p.m. North Greenville is now 1-5.

NGU never trailed, taking an early 7-0 lead when A.J. Jones returned an interception for a touchdown.

Lyndon Ingram (Columbia, S.C.) had 108 yards rushing and a touchdown on 22 carries. Quarterback W.T. Murden (West Columbia, S.C.) completed 25-of-38 passes for 249 yards and a touchdown, with Corey Washington (North Charleston, S.C.) earning seven receptions for 124 yards.
