COLUMBIA (WACH)- Steve Spurrier said Tuesday at his weekly press conference that the Gamecocks will be ready for UAB Saturday.  The Blazers head coach Garrick McGee knows the Gamecocks all too well.

McGee coached quarterbacks at Arkansas in 2008 and 2009 before adding offensive coordinator to his title in 2010.  With McGee, the Razorbacks defeated USC the past three seasons.

"They certainly know how to beat the Gamecocks," Spurrier said.  "This coach they have has the formula to kick our butts."

The Gamecocks are coming off a 48-10 beating of East Carolina, but the head ball coach said his team could have played a lot better.  Spurrier looks to become the 71st college head coach to win his 200 games Saturday.

"We expect a difficult game, but we'll be ready for these guys."
