COLUMBIA (WACH) - There will be a few changes to traffic patterns near Williams-Brice Stadium on University of South Carolina game days this football season.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has released images of the traffic patterns as well as images of the new farmer's market parking so fans can plan their trip to and from the stadium in advance.

2012 Changes:

- The Farmer's Market now has three gates that you can enter to access that area. There is still the one off Bluff Rd. at Bojangle’s but two more gates have been added off National Guard Road.

- There will be no parking on the side of the road on Shop Road. DOT has placed NO PARKING signs on Shop Road and if you park there you are subject to a citation and having your vehicle towed.

- The University and Columbia Police Department will be putting up No Parking Signs on Key Road between the railroad tracks and Idlewild Road, South Stadium Road, and National Guard Road.

- There will also be no parking on Hemlock Rd.

- If you park in these areas and your vehicle is towed, you need to contact the Columbia Police Department or the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities encourage individuals who would usually walk from the game to apartments on Bluff and Shop Roads to find another form of transportation because walking is very dangerous. For those that absolutely have to walk, they recommend walking in a group.

People who will be walking near the stadium on game day are reminded to say out of the roadway and as far off the road as possible.
