Spurrier: Lattimore out for season

COLUMBIA (WACH) --USC sophomore running back Marcus Lattimore has a torn knee ligament and will miss the rest of the 2011 season, coach Steve Spurrier confirmed Sunday.

Lattimore was injured in Saturday's 14-12 win over Mississippi State. Spurrier says Lattimore will have surgery in a few weeks.

The Gamecocks (6-1 overall, 4-1 SEC) are off until October 29, when they play at Tennessee.
