Former Dutch Fork High School basketball star Murphy Holloway is planning to continue his college basketball career at the University of South Carolina.

Holloway made the announcement Wednesday morning at his high school alma mater.  The 6-foot-7 forward was the SEC's fifth leading rebounder last season while playing at Ole Miss.

Holloway left Ole Miss earlier this month to be closer to home after two seasons in Oxford.  The Irmo native will walk on to the team at USC and pay his own way while he sits out his transfer season because his former school would not release him to South Carolina.  Holloway will be free to go on scholarship during his last two years of college eligibility.

Holloway had the option of playing on scholarship immediately at smaller in-state schools.
