The field house at the school will now be known as the "George Glymph Arena."

Glymph lead the Shamrock basketball team to 5 state basketball championships and one runner up between 1974 and 1996.

He retired with a record of 471-135.

Dozens of former players honored Glymph, who would not allow any of his players to suit up unless they had at least a "C" in the classroom.

Notable alumni to play under Glymph include Miami Heat center Jermaine O'Neal.
