Monday, March 25, 2013  South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner heads up the latest class of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame. Tanner won two national championships as Gamecocks baseball coach before taking over as AD last July.

Monday, February 18, 2013  A state license tag honoring the University of South Carolina baseball team's back-to-back national championships in 2010 and 2011 will be available for purchase Tuesday.

Wednesday, June 29, 2011  South Carolina won its second straight national championship with a 5-2 victory Tuesday night over Florida in the College World Series finals. The Gamecocks' streaks of 16 NCAA tournament wins and 11 straight in the CWS are both the longest all-time. Fans are invited to a celebration party at Colonial Life Arena Wednesday. Doors open at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

Monday, June 27, 2011  The Gamecocks won two out of three from the Gators in the regular season.  Ray Tanner sends Forrest Koumas, a freshman from Lugoff-Elgin High School, to the mound for his first ever College World Series start.  The Gators counter with their ace, Hudson Randall.
