Pitching less than 15 miles from his hometown of Gaffney, SC, graduate righthander Justin Sarratt tossed 6.0 innings without allowing an earned run to lead #16 Clemson to a 5-1 victory over Gardner-Webb in front of a school-record 1,328 fans at John Henry Moss Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The #16 Clemson Tigers scored five runs in the third inning and pulled away with a seven-run seventh inning in its 13-1 win over Gardner-Webb in the first game of a doubleheader at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers, who took a 1-0 series lead, improved to 30-15, while the Bulldogs dropped to 28-15-1. With the victory, Clemson reached the 30-win mark for the 37th year in a row.
