Friday, April 26, 2013  The Houston Texans have selected South Carolina safety D.J. Swearinger in the second round of the NFL draft.  He was the No. 57 pick overall.

Tuesday, March 26, 2013  Injured running back Marcus Lattimore is slated to take part in the South Carolina football program's annual pro timing day at Williams-Brice Stadium on Wednesday. Lattimore is not yet cleared to do all-out sprints but is expected to participate.
