COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Brett and Jacob Rhoad were able to spend some quality time with men who get are used to fighting fire and saving the lives of others.

The Columbia Fire Department is gearing up for their annual boot drive to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

"We go out to different intersections and we have a boot drive, it's for a great cause and there are a lot of kids that are effected by this disease and we want to try to help find a cure for it," said Chief Battallion Mickey Folsom.

The fourteen year old twins were diagnosed with muscular dystrophy when they were four, and their mother Julie said the Muscular Dystrophy Association has played a major role in their families lives.
