GOOSE CREEK, S.C. (AP) -- A man has been arrested in the shooting death of a Goose Creek man in December.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that 43-year-old David Chavis is accused of shooting and killing 23-year-rold Darrel Allen.
Chavis was charged with murder Thursday in the Dec. 13 shooting death.
Allen was found dead in a car that wrecked outside a vacant home in Goose Creek. Police say Chavis walked into the police department about six hours later with a gunshot wound and said that Allen had shot him and he had fired in self-defense.
Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
It was not clear if Chavis has an attorney.
