From 6 foot pigs to arts, crafts and spooky food, it was a busy morning on Good Day!
FARMVILLE at EDVENTURE
Kristy Barnes and Puddles the Pig joined us this morning to talk about Farmville at Edventure Children’s Museum on Saturday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, kicking off 3 new exhibits. Farmville is a family friendly festival with a petting farm, clogging and barnyard games.
The 3 new exhibits are the Busy Bee Farm, Speckled Hen Market, and Little Spot Diner.

A CHRISTMAS CLASSIC
Peter Driscoll joined us to show examples of his art, leading up to the Christmas Classic.
The show returns to the State Fairgrounds Nov. 2-4 for the 37th year -- still going strong, still winning nationwide awards for creative excellence -- and still exciting and engaging your viewers as a true holiday tradition.

JDRF WALK TO CURE DIABETES
Dana Bruce from the JDRF joined us, along with 6-year-old Kylee Frye who is living with Type 1 diabetes, also known as Juvenile Diabetes. They told us about the annual Walk to Cure Diabetes planned for Sunday.
The Walk is expected to draw an enthusiastic crowd of all ages, driven to support a great cause while enjoying an event that includes: face painting, hot dog lunch, vendors, and more. On-site registration begins at 1:00pm, in parking lot C next to Colonial Life Arena. The entire walk will be approximately 3.1 miles long, starting and ending at Colonial Life Arena.

IT’S A PENNY
Michael Letts and Jim Manning joined us from both sides of the so called “penny tax,” taking questions from viewers and explaining their respective positions on the issue that will be voted on November 6.

WAIT, THAT’s A CANDLE?
The Southern Baked Candle Co, announced the 2012 winner of their Annual Loopy 4 Life drive, in which they would like participants to "Become a fruit loop in a cheerios world." Every year, the company's Facebook fans vote for their favorite charity, who receive $10.00 from the proceeds of every fruit loopy candle that is sold.
This year the winner is the American Amputee Soccer Society. The reception on November 1, at 6:30 p.m. at their store on 2718 Devine Street in Columbia.

It turns out that when Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith takes a vacation, it may be to Disney, with the purchase of the mega Star Wars movie franchise by mouse led entertainment company Disney for $4 billion dollars.
