COLUMBIA (WACH) - Authorities say a missing 16-year-old girl has returned to her Columbia home.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says Anafelicia "Ana" Miranda was brought home by a friend from Atlana, Ga. around 12 a.m. Monday after seeing herself on the news.

Sheriff Leon Lott says Anafelicia "Ana" Miranda was last seen Friday, September 28 at Richland Northeast High School.

Authorities say Ana told family members that she wanted to spend the weekend with Arturo Pereira Bravo and said she would return by Monday, October 1, which did not happen. No one heard from Ana until she returned Monday, which caused concern for her family.

Lott says at the age of 16 in South Carolina a person cannot make the decision to leave home without the consent of their parents or legal guardian.

Lott says no charges will be filed at this time, however, the Richland County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate.
