CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) -- The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating allegations by two Citadel cadets that they were inappropriately touched by an upperclassman who has since graduated.

Campus police say the cadets filed reports last week against a 23-year-old who graduated from the Charleston military school last year. The report says one cadet accused the upperclassman of assaulting him three times. A second cadet says the man groped him when he was at the college.

SLED spokeswoman Kathryn Richardson says the agency got a request from the school to look into the complaints. She would not comment further.

Citadel spokeswoman Charlene Gunnells says the school notified SLED of the allegations and told cadets and staff last week that a recent graduate has been accused of inappropriate contact of a sexual nature.
