Irmo, S.C. (WACH)--Car fans from all around were at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Saturday Morning for a flash back in time.

The inaugural classic car show, sponsored by the Dubose Web Group and Columbia Conference Center, gave the public a chance to relive old memories by showcasing more than 100 antique cars; from Corvettes and Mustangs among others. Most of the vehicles are from the 1920's-1950's, but some were modern cars.

Door prizes and trophies to winning cars in different categories were also awarded.

Car Coordinator Mike Dubose said the event gave the elder generation in particular, a chance to look back.

"It brings back a lot of memories. I hear from people who say 'I had this color car, and this is how much it cost then.' It just re-lives old times. A lot of these cars have been smashed up and gone to the junkyard. Some of us history buffs want to restore them."

The event was free to visitors and car owners. Organizers hope to host another car show next year.
