COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a West Columbia man has died after a jet ski crash on Lake Murray.

Lexington County Coroner Harry O. Harman says 49-year-old Richard Stowe was riding a jet ski at around 6:45 p.m. on Friday when he hit something in the water.

Harman says Stowe was thrown off the jet ski. An autopsy showed that he died from drowning.

Authorities are still investigating the crash.
