COLUMBIA (WACH) - A suspect in a hit and run incident involving a pedestrian Saturday has been arrested.
According to the Columbia Police Department, Lennetta Teirra Perry was arrested Monday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving an unattended vehicle and driving without a license.
The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Greene and Harden Streets.
The pedestrian suffered a broken rib and was released froma localĀ hospital, according to hospital officials.
The department says the car Perry was driving during the incident was found abandoned on Greene Street on Saturday a short distance from where the hit and run occurred.
The investigation is ongoing as officers work to determine who is at fault in the incident.
Perry was transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
