COLUMBIA (WACH/AP)—The South Carolina National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is planning to gather at the Statehouse for The King Day at the Dome rally.

The rally will start with a prayer service at the Zion Baptist Church at 801 Washington Street in Columbia, followed by a 6 block march to the Statehouse, where US Attorney General Eric Holder is scheduled to give a speech.  Last month, Holder said the Obama administration would fight any law that appeared to affect the rights of blacks to vote.

The theme of this years rally is "Preserving Full Citizenship Rights in America."
