ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- A former assisted living home employee in Rock Hill accused of killing one of the residents now faces another forgery charge.

The Herald of Rock Hill reported 30-year-old Braquette Walton was charged Wednesday with forgery and exploitation of a vulnerable adult.

Walton already had been charged with murder and forgery in the death of 82-year-old Pauline Cook.

Walton formerly worked as a certified nurse's aide at the Oak Bridge Terrace assisted living home.

Walton was accused of killing Cook after she complained someone had taken $1,200 from a bank account. Cook and another staff member told police on Nov. 12 that Walton had cashed the checks.

The next morning, Cook was found dead in a shower.

The new charge involves someone cashing a $300 check from an 84-year-old resident.
