Annual food and toy drive to help Midlands families

LEXINGTON (WACH)--The Lexington County Sheriff's deputies is teaming up with Walmart for the agency's annual holiday and food toy drive.
Deputies accepted donations of new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items Friday at the Wal-Mart Supercenter on South Lake Drive near Lexington.
All of the food and toys that are donated will be provided to children and adults who need assistance.
"Food and toys that are donated to the Sheriffs Department during the agency's annual holiday food and toy drive will be provided to Harvest Hope Food Bank and The Salvation Army, which will distribute the food and toys to persons who are in need of assistance," Metts said.
