COLUMBIA (WACH)-- The Carolina Clemson football rivalry is really heating up.

 The annual Tigerburn pep rally lit up USC’s campus Monday night.

Engineering students built a 23-foot tall Clemson Tiger, only to burn it down.

University officials say the Tigerburn tradition started more than 100 years ago.

Not to be outdone, Tiger fans held a mock funeral for Cocky Monday night on Clemson’s campus.

The Gamecocks and Tigers will battle it out this upcoming Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium. The game starts at 7:45 and will be televised on ESPN.
