Marcus Lattimore, running back for USC, will begin rehab process soon
COLUMBIA (WACH)--University of South Carolina sophomore running back Marcus Lattimore underwent successful surgery to repair a ligament in his knee on Thursday.
USC's Athletics department announced the news Friday.
According to the department, Lattimore is expected to begin the normal rehab process over the next few days.
Lattimore injured the knee on Oct. 15 against Mississippi State. South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier said Tuesday that doctors wanted the swelling to go down in the knee and the injuries to stabilize before surgery.
Lattimore tore a ligament in his left knee and also suffered some cartilage damage when a player rolled on his leg as he blocked for Bruce Ellington.
