ORANGEBURG COUNTY (WACH) –Three men wanted in a Branchville manhunt are now behind bars.

Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell says while deputies were patrolling the Cattle Creek area Friday due to burglaries in the area, deputies received a tip about a suspicious vehicle.

When a deputy approached, one suspect started shooting at the deputy.

The deputy fired back hitting one of the suspects with non-life threatening injuries.

Several law enforcement agencies including SC Highway Patrol and SLED were apart of the manhunt.
