First responders are getting the heroes' treatment in South Carolina as a memorial is dedicated to them in Columbia on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

COLUMBIA (WACH, AP) -- First responders are getting the heroes' treatment in South Carolina as a memorial is dedicated to them in Columbia on the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.

A memorial for first responders was dedicated Sunday at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, featuring a flyover by a pair of F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft from the S.C. Air National Guard's 169th Fighter Wing.

There was also a roll call of the fallen heroes.

On Sunday, Gov. Nikki Haley releasing a video thanking first responders and military members for their service.

She also recalled how the country came together after the terror attacks, showing strength, loyalty and love for the United States.
