Clyburn visits center, hosts Medicare meeting

GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) -- U.S. Rep. Jim Clyburn is in Georgetown County to visit a health center and hold a town hall meeting on Medicare.

The Sun-News of Myrtle Beach reports that the South Carolina Democrat is visiting the newly renovated St. James-Santee Family Health Center, Inc. - Sampit Site on Friday.

Clyburn is also planning to hold the fourth of his Medicare town hall meetings at the center later Friday. The congressman says he will answer questions and concerns about proposed changes to Medicare.

Both events are free and open to the public.
