ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) -- Wildlife officials in Rock Hill hope to catch a young black bear with sardines and honey buns.
The Herald of Rock Hill reported that the Natural Resources Department set a trap Monday after a bear was spotted in a neighborhood.
Police got several calls Sunday and Monday from people who said they saw a bear.
Sgt. Sandy Young with the Natural Resources Department says officers have not yet seen the bear.
Agency biologist Jeff Witt says he's confident the trap will work. A trail of honey bun pieces leads to a green cage. There are more honey buns and sardines in the back of the cage. The door to the trap should close once the bear grabs the treats in the back.
