CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) -- Hundreds of students are coming to Clemson University to show off their biology smarts in an annual exam.
The school says it expects more than 600 middle and high school students to compete in Friday's 32nd annual Biology Merit Exam.
The event was established in 1979 to give students a sneak peek at college life and experience how science can be fun.
The exam is sponsored by Clemson's department of biological sciences in the College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences.
This year's test has 40 multiple choice questions on a central theme. Selected students also will compete in the Biology Bowl, a "Jeopardy!"-style contest.
