CAYCE (WACH) -- Good ol' fashioned racing is coming back to the Midlands this year.  The Love Chevrolet Racers Reunion Festival is returning to the historic Columbia Speedway in Cayce.

Racing enthusiasts flock to the festival each year to honor the track's history, view race cars of yesteryear and meet racing legends.

Organizers say each year the festival gets bigger and bigger.

"To see the interest continue to grow is just amazing to me, but it just shows that there's a lot going on here," explains Jeff Gilder, founder of Racersreunion.com.  "There is a deep appreciation for the roots of racing, there's a deep appreciation for what that facility meant to this community."

The festival runs April 14 through April 16.  Also new this year is a Miss Racer Reunion Beauty Pageant.
