COLUMBIA (WACH) -- Governor Nikki Haley met with a dozen technical college and university presidents to discuss a new funding formula.
Haley says these schools would be funded based on how they meet certain criteria.
"We are looking at graduation rates, we are looking at in-state students, we are looking at job placement when they graduate," Haley says. "We're looking at how each university contributes to economic development and we are looking at how they serve our under represented populations."
Haley says the technical colleges and universities would be held to separate formulas. She's scheduled to meet with the presidents again in April.
