ATLANTA (WACH) -- At long last, the Chick-Fil-A Bowl is here! Tonight, our South Carolina Gamecocks take on the Florida State Seminoles at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, So what kind of weather can you expect if you`re heading to the big game?
For folks making the drive west on I-20 during the day Friday, the roads will be dry under a mostly cloudy sky. Temps between the Midlands and Atlanta will be about the same, in the mid 60s Friday. On a side note, that`s not a bad way to end 2010!
If you're heading to Atlanta Friday night, just in time to catch the 7:30 kickoff, expect a mostly cloudy sky. There is a very slight chance for an isolated shower in the Atlanta metro area after 5:00 Friday evening. Temps during the overnight hours will be in the low to mid 50s between the Midlands and Atlanta.
After the game, if you`re celebrating the new year in Atlanta, expect a mostly cloudy sky with a chance for scattered showers after midnight. Temps will be around 50 during the overnight hours.
For those of us staying in the Midlands to watch the game tonight, we`ll see a mostly cloudy sky with temperatures in the mid 50s. Rain chances won`t move into Columbia until late Saturday afternoon.
