CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Police have taken a woman into custody at Charlotte ABC affiliate WSOC-TV after the building was evacuated following reports of an armed woman in the lobby.

Several local media outlets say the woman was taken into custody Tuesday night and that no shots were fired.

Police confirmed that a woman had been seen in the lobby with what appeared to be a gun, but didn't provide other details.

The woman's identity was not immediately available.

Several employees are tweeting that they are being allowed back into the building.
