LEXINGTON COUNTY -- Fire destroys a Lexington County residence.

It took firefighters an hour to bring the blaze at 745 Smith Pond Road under control Saturday afternoon.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but is believed to have started near the back of the residence, possibly from smoking materials.

Officials say the mobile home is a total loss.
