Polls close in run-off vote, results coming in

COLUMBIA -- The polls have closed in the city of Columbia's run-off elections.

Voters cast their ballots since 7 a.m. Tuesday morning and officials are now tallying them up.

Earlier in the day, poll workers told us that turnout was higher than average.

On the ballot for the run-off, Kirkman Finlay takes on Steve Benjamin in the bid for mayor, and Tony Mizzell faces Leona Plaugh for the city council District IV seat.
