LEXINGTON -- A Lexington County man remains in jail Monday night after being denied bond for allegedly molesting a child.

Twenty-five-year-old Lance Austin Williams faces charges related to an incident involving a one-year-old girl.

Major John Allard, with the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, tells us the girl was placed in Williams' care by the infant's mother.

Family members discovered the child's arm and head were bruised and there were signs of injuries around the child's private parts.

Williams was arrested Friday afternoon.
